As our Supervisor, Accounting , you'll lead and support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department while providing expertise, guidance, and strategic insight that helps drive the success of Sandbox.

DIVE IN AND MAKE A SPLASH EVERY DAY, BY:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department while supporting a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Providing guidance, coaching, training, and performance support to Accounting team members.
• Overseeing general accounting functions, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, regulatory reporting, and financial statements.
• Supervising month-end and year-end processes while coordinating with auditors, actuaries, and other key stakeholders.
• Monitoring cash flow, maintaining banking relationships, and supporting sound financial management practices.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen customer service within the department.

Skills

• Professional accounting designation required.
• Five (5) or more years of accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, auditing practices, financial reporting, investments, and capital markets.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, solve problems, and make informed decisions
• Proven ability to motivate, coach, develop, and support employees
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of accounting systems, reporting tools, and process improvement opportunities.
• Knowledge of insurance operations, reinsurance, underwriting, or claims
