Locum Cardiac Surgeon - Steubenville, Ohio Availability & Schedule

• Coverage Dates: November 20-30, 2026, and December 22, 2026-January 4, 2027
• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
• Estimated Shifts: 10 per month
• Call Type: In-house call
• Response Time: 30 minutes for general call; 60 minutes for open-heart cases
• Ongoing Need: Future vacation and backup coverage opportunities
• Clinic Time: Not required

Licenses & Certifications

• State License: Ohio medical license required to apply
• IMLC Candidates: Accepted
• Board Status: Board Certified
• Minimum Experience: 2 years
• ACLS: Required
• DEA: Required
• CSR License: Not required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Cardiac surgery and hospital rounding
• Operating room coverage and inpatient care
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Will work alongside the existing clinical team
• EMR: Meditech

Procedures & Case Types

• CABG (coronary artery bypass grafting)
• AVR (aortic valve replacement)
• Pericardial window

Expected Workload

• Inpatients: 2-3 per day
• Admissions: 1-2 per day
• Consults: 1-2 per day
• Cardiac Surgery Cases: 1-2 per week
• Evaluations: 1-2
• Average Admissions While On Call: 2 reported
• Average Admissions Per Week: 4-5 reported
