  • Trauma designation: Level III
  • Patient volume: Approximately 1 Äì4 patients per shift
  • Admissions required
  • Assigned and unassigned patients
    • Schedule / Call
  • 24-hour call coverage anticipated
  • Call ratio: 1:1 during scheduled coverage
  • Required response time: 30 minutes
  • Approximately 10% callback
  • Typical volume:
    • - 1 phone consultation - 2 patients seen - 1 admissionClinical Scope
  • Cardiovascular surgery call coverage
  • Arterial bypass capability required
  • Holiday coverage for Thanksgiving and Christmas 2027
    • Support
  • Eight departmental beds
  • No APP supervision required
  • No resident or teaching responsibilities
    • Requirements
  • Board-certified or board-eligible cardiovascular surgeon
  • Active Mississippi medical license or IMLC eligibility
  • Cardiovascular surgery fellowship training
  • Active ACLS certification
  • Ability to perform arterial bypass procedures
    • Credentialing
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 1 day
