  • Coverage: 24-hour beeper call
  • Response time: 30 minutes
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Volume: 10-15 patients/shift
  • Call: 10 phone consults; 10 patients seen
  • Callback: 20%
  • Support: 1 APP + office staff
  • EMR: MediTech
  • Credentialing: 30 days; temporary privileges available
  • 2026 coverage needs:
    • - Oct 23 at 7am-Oct 26 at 7am - Oct 29 at 7am-Nov 2 at 7am - Nov 26 at 7am-Nov 30 at 7am - Dec 24 at 7am-Jan 3 at 7amClinical Details
  • Bread-and-butter + emergency general surgery
  • Bowel resections and perforations
  • Appendectomy, cholecystectomy and hernia repair
  • Emergency general surgery trauma
  • I&D of abscesses and wound care
  • Upper and lower GI endoscopy
  • Chest tubes and central lines
  • Broad general, laparoscopic and vascular surgical coverage
    • Requirements
  • Board certified General Surgery
  • Active KY license or IMLC
  • BLS & ACLS
  • Broad general surgery skill set
  • Comfortable supervising APP support
    • Compensation
  • Rate negotiable, open to your number
  • Malpractice provided
  • Travel and lodging reimbursed
