Job Opportunity: Locum Neurosurgeon in Beautiful Petoskey, MI

Join a dynamic healthcare team at a well-established facility in Petoskey, Michigan, known for its commitment to patient care and advanced medical practices. We are seeking a skilled Neurosurgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage, rounding, and admissions. This is a hospital-based position with a supportive staff, including other specialized surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers. The facility offers on-site imaging, lab, procedure rooms, and OR, making it a well-equipped environment for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for neurosurgical services.
• Perform both spinal and cranial procedures.
• Conduct daily inpatient rounding and manage emergent cases.
• Collaborate with the neurosurgery team including one other surgeon and APPs.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) - Cerner for documentation.
• See 5-10 inpatients daily based on needs.

Qualifications:

• Board certified in Neurosurgery (no Board Eligible candidates).
• Active Michigan medical license at the time of submission.
• ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience.
• Clean background with no actions (minimum malpractice accepted).
• Ability to perform both spinal and cranial procedures.
• Self-query from the NPDB (should be pulled within the past month).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Medical License in Michigan.
• Board Certification in Neurosurgery.
• ACLS Certification.
