Vascular Surgery Job Details

• Location: Fairfield, Ohio, in the greater Cincinnati area
• Position: Locum tenens Vascular Surgeon
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,200-$8,520
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13-week initial assignment with ongoing coverage anticipated over the following six months
• Schedule: 8-hour daytime shifts, generally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; approximately 40 hours per week
• Call Coverage: Beeper and telephone call, approximately 1:4 call ratio, with minimal callback volume
• Practice Setting: Inpatient hospital-based vascular surgery care and outpatient clinic
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Inpatient/Outpatient Mix: Approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10-15 patients per day
• Trauma Level: Level I
• Documentation System: Epic

Vascular Surgeon Qualifications

• Board certification in Vascular Surgery
• Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery
• At least 2 years of vascular surgery experience
• Active Ohio medical license preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active DEA registration
• Clean professional background with no unresolved malpractice or medical license issues
• Ability to complete the credentialing process and provide required professional history

Vascular Surgeon Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient rounding and vascular surgery consultations for adult patients
• Perform endovascular procedures and open surgical procedures within the scope of vascular surgery practice
• Conduct outpatient vascular surgery clinic visits and follow-up care
• Provide after-hours beeper and telephone call coverage according to the established call rotation
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary hospital teams
• Complete timely clinical documentation in Epic
