General Surgeon Job Requirements

• Physician with at least 1 year of general surgery experience
• Board certified or board eligible in general surgery
• Current BLS certification
• Current ATLS certification
• Demonstrated experience providing adult general surgery and trauma care
• Proficiency with laparoscopic procedures, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication

General Surgery Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult surgical patients
• Provide general surgery coverage in a Level III trauma environment
• Perform laparoscopic surgical procedures within the physician's scope of practice
• Manage trauma-related surgical cases and coordinate appropriate patient care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support safe, timely, and high-quality outcomes
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and follow applicable professional and facility standards
