Vascular Surgeon Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience in vascular surgery
• Physician license eligible for practice in New Mexico
• Board certification required
• Completion of vascular surgery fellowship training
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to provide on-site coverage and manage a broad range of vascular surgical cases

Vascular Surgery Physician Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with vascular conditions
• Perform and manage thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repairs
• Perform peripheral arterial bypass procedures
• Place and manage vascular access devices
• Perform and manage arteriovenous shunt procedures
• Collaborate with surgical, emergency, and multidisciplinary care teams to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Complete timely documentation and participate in patient consultations and follow-up care
