Locum Tenens (Winter Coverage) Nebraska At Market Rates and Negotiable

Palm Health Resources is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage this winter at a regional community hospital in Central Nebraska.

The hospital is a Level III trauma center with a robotic surgical system on site, and it is looking for surgeons who could see themselves as long-term partners on a small, collaborative team.

Locum-to-permanent is an option for the right surgeon; perm package details on request.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage for a regional community hospital.
• Evaluate and manage surgical patients in inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency medicine and nursing teams.
• Maintain timely documentation and communication with the care team.

Qualifications

Required:

• MD or DO with completed general surgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in general surgery.
• Nebraska medical license or ability to obtain one in time for the assignment.
• Availability for coverage this winter.

Preferred:

• Robotic surgery experience.
• Interest in a long-term, permanent role.

Please note: This is an inpatient, hospital-based surgical role. Final coverage needs, schedule and privileging requirements are confirmed with the facility.
