Locum Physician - Orthopedic Surgery in Kearney, NE

Summary: Join a premier Level II Trauma Center in Kearney, Nebraska, as an Orthopedic Surgeon. This locum position focuses on providing surgery coverage with no office hours required. Enjoy a dynamic working environment and support from dedicated ED and OR staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide ortho Level 2 trauma call coverage and perform surgical cases as needed.
• Administer general orthopedic care and manage fracture cases.
• Collaborate with hospitalists for patient admissions.
• Ensure comprehensive patient logs are maintained for credentialing.
• Work within a 24/7 call schedule with the flexibility of multiple providers covering shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completed an Orthopedic Residency.
• NE medical license highly preferred; IMLC accepted.
• Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
• ATLS certification is highly preferred; DEA certification is required.
• Availability at the time of name clearance is essential.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Orthopedics (REQUIRED).
• State License for Nebraska (HIGHLY PREFERRED) or IMLC (REQUIRED).
• DEA certification (REQUIRED).
• ATLS certification (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
