General Surgery Call Without Scheduled Clinic Hours

We are seeking a General Surgeon for locum tenens call coverage at an 18-bed critical access hospital in Wisconsin. This is a call-only assignment with no regularly scheduled clinic hours. The surgeon will respond when needed, round on assigned patients, complete admissions, and provide adult general surgery services.

The facility offers 24-hour CRNA coverage, laboratory services, and imaging support. Temporary privileges are available.

• October 26, 2026 at 12:00 PM through October 29, 2026 at 5:00 AM
• November 23, 2026 at 5:00 AM through November 25, 2026 at 5:00 AM
• Additional coverage blocks may become available

Required Clinical Skills

• Adult general surgery
• Laparoscopic appendectomy
• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
• Upper GI endoscopy

Preferred Clinical Skills

• Trauma surgery
• Colonoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Chest tube insertion
• Central line insertion

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin medical license required
• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS required
• Board certification is not required
• Eligible for hospital and surgery-center privileges
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of days
• Temporary privileges available
