Locums Trauma Surgery NP/PA Richland, WA (WA license required) Why This Role

  • Level II Trauma Center with Level III Pediatric Trauma services
  • 2 weeks/month, ongoing
  • No call
  • 12-hour shifts with day and night coverage opportunities
  • NP or PA accepted; multiple openings

  • Start: January 4, 2027
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Approximately 2 weeks/month
  • Shift requirement: 7-14 shifts/month
  • Shift times: 7a-7p or 7p-7a, depending on coverage needs
  • January openings: January 4-10 and January 18-24, both 7a-7p
  • Coverage type: Inpatient Trauma Surgery No Call
  • Setting: Inpatient, Level II Trauma Center
  • Pediatric designation: Level III Pediatric Trauma
  • Patient volume: Approximately 20 patients/shift
  • Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients
  • Admissions: Not required
  • Pediatric volume: Fewer than 20 cases/month across the service
  • EMR: Epic
  • Providers needed: 2
  • Credentialing: Approximately 90 days; no temporary privileges
    • Clinical Details
  • Inpatient Trauma Surgery evaluations and management
  • Trauma consultations and patient rounding
  • Adult and pediatric trauma care
  • Pediatric surgical consultations and participation in procedures
  • Must be comfortable and competent with pediatric surgical cases
  • Potential involvement in HMP or endoscopic appendectomy procedures
  • Collaboration with the surgical and trauma teams
  • No APP or resident supervision required
    • Requirements
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • WA license required for practice
  • ACLS required
  • ATLS required
  • DEA required
  • Trauma Surgery experience required
  • Pediatric trauma and surgical competency required
  • Must be comfortable consulting on pediatric cases
  • Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts as needed
  • Availability for approximately 2 weeks/month
  • Current CV required with submission

  • Regular, orientation, overtime, and holiday rates requested
  • Malpractice provided
  • Travel and lodging reimbursement to be confirmed
