Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Systems Administrator II is responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining, and improving the company’s computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This role provides technical support to end users, manages system performance and security, assists with technology upgrades, and helps ensure reliable IT operations across multiple locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Promote and support a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, maintain, and support server, network, and computer system environments following established procedures and best practices.
- Develop, recommend, and implement hardware, software, operating system, and infrastructure improvements.
- Install, configure, repair, maintain, and upgrade PCs, servers, routers, switches, and related network equipment.
- Administer Windows environments, Active Directory, terminal services, disaster recovery processes, and core network services.
- Monitor system and network performance and assist with infrastructure upgrades when required.
- Provide technical support to remote offices and end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues in LAN/WAN environments.
- Create user accounts, train new users, and complete additional projects and assignments as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of related systems administration or IT support experience.
- Information Technology degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and practical experience.
- Strong understanding of Windows system administration, networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure.
- Experience supporting Active Directory, Microsoft 365 environments, and Windows administrative tools.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments, authentication and authorization processes, and distributed computing concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and web-based applications.
- Ability to write and maintain administrative scripts using tools such as PowerShell, Python, VBScript, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Info:
- Ubiquiti and firewall/router experience is considered an asset.
- ITIL Foundations certification and experience with Operational Technology (OT) networks are considered assets.
- Travel may be required on short notice, both domestically and internationally.
