Finance Systems Analyst – Technology & Automation

We are working with a growing financial services organisation who are seeking a talented Finance Systems Analyst to join their technology and transformation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 1-2 years' experience in systems, technology, business analysis, automation, or application development who is passionate about building solutions that improve business performance and efficiency.

You'll work closely with finance and operational stakeholders, using technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Python, and automation tools to develop applications, streamline processes, and support business transformation initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Working with finance and operational teams to identify inefficient or manual processes and develop technology-driven solutions
• Designing and developing applications and automations that improve efficiency and support business growth
• Building and deploying solutions using Microsoft Azure
• Using Python or similar programming languages to create practical business solutions
• Gathering business requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions
• Maintaining, supporting, and enhancing existing applications while developing new solutions
• Introducing appropriate controls, documentation, development standards, and governance
• Taking ownership of projects from problem identification through to implementation and delivery
• Supporting ongoing technology and process improvement initiatives across the business

What we're looking for

• Degree educated in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 1-2 years' experience in a technology, systems, automation, business analysis, or application development role
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including building and deploying solutions
• Programming experience, ideally with Python
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience working with business users to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive, curious mindset and willingness to take ownership of projects
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• An interest in process improvement, automation, and business transformation
