System Engineering Architect (HVAC Systems)

The System Engineering Architect II independently executes system engineering work packages for chiller and electrified heating systems. This role contributes to system design, integration, testing, and optimization while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure performance, efficiency, and compliance targets are achieved.Direct, hands-on experience in chiller or HVAC/R system design is required

• Define and execute assigned system engineering work packages with minimal supervision.
• Develop system-level specifications, performance targets, and functional requirements.
• Perform detailed HVAC/R thermodynamic cycle analysis and chiller/heat-pump system performance modeling.
• Evaluate and select major chiller and HVAC system components to meet performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability targets.
• Review and validate refrigerant and hydronic schematics, P&IDs, and equipment layouts for functionality, performance, and serviceability.
• Lead portions of prototype build support, commissioning, and validation testing.
• Analyze test results, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system-level issues.
• Contribute to process improvements and engineering efficiency initiatives.
• Support certification and compliance activities (e.g., UL, ASHRAE, ASME).
