Overview

In this role you will transform customer requirements into robust system architectures for RF seeker solutions, spanning physical and functional domains. You will work within the Seekers and Datalink Systems Department to apply systems engineering methods across the V-model, collaborating with cross-functional teams to verify and validate designs. Your work supports cutting-edge radar and missile technologies used by armed forces, delivering impactful systems with real-world deployment. This is a dynamic, hybrid opportunity at MBDA, with potential site relocation and international travel to MBDA locations and trials.

Responsibilities
  • Derive and manage system requirements from customer needs
  • Create functional and physical architectures using SysML, ARCADIA or similar MBSE languages
  • Dissect complex requirements and translate them into lower-level subsystem specs
  • Ensure timely delivery of outputs within agreed timescales
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, other departments and customers
  • Engage with model-based systems engineering practices and relevant tools
  • Contribute to verification and validation through the MBSE process
  • Collaborate with cross-site teams and support travel to MBDA sites and trial locations
Key requirements
  • Experience deriving and managing requirements
  • Experience generating functional and physical architecture using SysML/ARCADIA or MBSE
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into subsystem requirements
  • Consistent track record of delivering against timescales
  • Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with DOORS/DOORS Next/Rhapsody/Capella (desirable)
  • MATLAB and Simulink experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of RF/microwave, radar and control systems, and DSP (desirable)
