Overview

In this role you will design, develop, and maintain test scripts and reporting across manual and automated suites on a flagship UK programme. You will work in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment to ensure test quality and traceability for mission-critical systems. You will analyze requirements, create risk-based test approaches, and report on progress and defects within a collaborative test team. You will contribute to test design, execution, and process improvements to support complex, multi-system integrations and national security objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Detailed Test Plans and Test Reports (Draft and Final)
  • Develop Test Designs, Test Cases, Data, and Tooling
  • Contribute to Requirements Traceability Matrix for Test attributes
  • Perform Test Execution, Analysis, and Reporting
  • Raise and track Defects based on test outcomes
  • Provide progress status to Test Leads
  • Quality checks on Test materials (scripts, data, evidence, defects)
  • Identify and recommend Test Process improvements
Key requirements
  • Awareness of Testing Lifecycle and testing types (Functional, Integration)
  • Systems Integration experience (3rd party components integration)
  • Ability to estimate test efforts for preparation and execution
  • Experience creating Test Designs and Cases from requirements and designs
  • Experience with test execution, results analysis, and status reporting
  • Familiarity with hybrid workload management and bug tracking (e.g., Jira, Bitbucket)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and collaboration to address dependencies and gaps
  • Experience in working within a larger test team
  • Willingness to obtain UK Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency)
