System Performance Engineer – FCAS

Overview
In this role you will help design and optimise the Future Combat Air Systems (FCAS) by building and analysing a Matlab-Simulink system model to assess weapon effects. You will work autonomously within the System Performance team to demonstrate and prove how interlinked subsystems perform, and translate findings into FCAS requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the overall design and contribute to cutting-edge air capabilities for national and international partners.

- Develop and utilise Matlab-Simulink based System Model to evaluate kinetics and EW-enabled weapons
- Conduct series of studies to optimise system effectiveness and prove concepts
- Translate modelling results into actionable requirements for FCAS design
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate findings into system design
- Support delivery by taking ownership and operating within an agile framework
- Experience developing reusable programmes in high level languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, C++)
- Autonomous working style with ownership for delivery
- Willingness to operate within an agile framework and adopt AGILE values
- Experience creating dynamic models of interlinked systems (advantage)
