Reports to: The Director - IT in the Corporate Secretary Department

Location: Kuujjuaq or Montréal

Status of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: Between $90,000 and $110,000 Annually

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the server, storage and network infrastructures;
  • Ensure servers, computers, network infrastructure and physical infrastructure are secure;
  • Create and update technical documentation;
  • Optimize and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools;
  • Guide and assist other IT staff in technical problem resolution;
  • Be available to travel, as requested;
  • Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
  • Good communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;
  • Two (2) years of experience in a system administrator role;
  • Demonstrate analytical capacity and problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge or networking, Windows server, Exchange, Fortinet equipment, VMWare, Hyper V;
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, O365, powershell;
  • Experience with IP telephony;In depth knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, routing;
  • Knowledge of SAN/NAS solutions.
