Overview
In this role, you ensure the stability of critical applications by performing production support and automation for container-based environments. You will work with platform, engineering and delivery teams to provide seamless infrastructure support and rapid, standardized deployment patterns. The role focuses on incident management, RCA, and remediation to keep services available at scale. You will contribute to secure, automated operations for GenAI workloads and modernization efforts.
Responsibilities- Infrastructure operations and production support for container technologies (Docker UCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Deploy, configure, scale, and manage containerized apps on OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes
- Develop automation patterns and IaC modules for rapid environment creation
- OpenShift Enterprise Support and Kubernetes ecosystem tooling (helm, kubeadm, Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD)
- Use configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform) and convert manual maintenance into automated workflows
- Share knowledge with team and customers; partner with Platform, Engineering and Delivery teams for seamless support
- Security remediation (vulnerability assessment and patch management)
- Document operational procedures and adhere to ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Release)
- Be on-call to support infrastructure and systems
- Coordinate activities across cross-divisional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / computer engineering, Information Systems or related field
- Six months of Unix/Linux system administration/Containers experience (preferred)
- Scripting knowledge (Python)
- Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- Configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
- ITIL v4 processes understanding (Incident, Change, Problem, Release)
- Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint (preferred)
- Software engineering concepts understanding
