Systems Architect

In this role you will lead end-to-end systems engineering for aerospace landing gear projects in our Bristol team. You’ll manage requirements, validation, verification, and supplier coordination while ensuring compliance with certifications and ARP standards. You’ll mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust landing gear solutions. • Lead systems engineering plans aligned with aerospace standards (ARP4754)
• Capture, analyze, and flow down requirements across system and subsystems
• Oversee validation and verification activities with evidence documentation
• Set up and maintain requirements management tools (IBM DOORS/DOORS NG)
• Produce systems engineering documentation (requirements, V&V matrices, technical reports)
• Define specifications for landing gear equipment (hydraulic actuators, hoses, electrical harnesses)
• Act as technical interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior and senior engineers

• Strong aerospace systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of aircraft systems (ideally landing gear – ATA32)
• Experience with requirements management, validation, and verification processes
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS (Classic or NG)
• Understanding of airworthiness and certification requirements
• Ability to review and produce technical documentation and engineering reports
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
