Overview

In this role you will design and own the architecture for Geospatial and satellite data products, balancing performance, security and compliance. You will contribute across the full lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment, engaging with stakeholders to shape robust, reusable solutions. You’ll work on government and MOD ISR-focused projects, with security-by-design as a core principle. This is a multi-disciplinary role at Airbus Defence and Space, offering cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to influence next‑gen secure geospatial software.

Responsibilities
  • Translate goals and requirements into robust Geospatial architectures
  • Establish end-to-end traceability from requirements to design using MBSE (SysML/UML)
  • Drive architectural vision through stakeholder engagement and information gathering
  • Promote component reuse and system evolution to meet future demands
Key requirements
  • Strong experience designing architectures for complex systems in shared services, SOA, or microservices environments
  • Experience with security, cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance constraints
  • Hands-on familiarity with AWS cloud services (advantageous)
  • Experience in environments requiring security by design for government and MOD projects
  • Knowledge of MBSE (SysML/UML) and model-based design
