Systems Configuration Specialist

In this role you will help secure and stabilize Babcock’s IT estate, focusing on vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security compliance across a large enterprise. You will work with Security Operations Centre and Information Assurance teams to keep systems secure and up to date. The position offers hybrid work and the chance to impact critical operations across defence and engineering. You will apply your expertise to deploy, monitor, and refine configuration and security processes that protect thousands of users and systems.

• Collaborate with SOC and IA teams to maintain a secure operating environment
• Facilitate and deploy approved vulnerability patches and software updates
• Deploy system changes via change management processes
• Monitor and maintain Microsoft patch compliance and anti-malware across client/server environments
• Manage configuration baselines and enterprise systems management using Microsoft tooling

• Vulnerability management and patch management experience
• PowerShell scripting proficiency
• Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager environments
• OS deployment, application deployment, patching and endpoint security across server and client platforms
• Experience in a large-scale enterprise environment supporting extensive endpoint estates
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, support tools and group policy management
