Overview

In this role you will support a major UK rail infrastructure project by capturing, managing and verifying system requirements. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure traceability, delivery and governance across the project lifecycle. You will help translate stakeholder needs into practical engineering solutions and support handover and transition to operations. This is a chance to contribute to a nationally significant programme with industry-leading professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Capture, develop and maintain project requirements throughout the lifecycle
  • Ensure requirements traceability from definition to verification and validation
  • Support systems engineering across multiple disciplines
  • Collaborate with design teams, project managers and client stakeholders to ensure delivery of technical requirements
  • Identify and manage requirements-related risks and issues
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports
  • Support assurance, compliance and project governance activities
  • Contribute to project handover, completion and transition activities
Key requirements
  • Experience in requirements management or systems engineering within major infrastructure, rail, transport or similar complex engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle and requirements traceability
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse complex technical information and provide practical engineering solutions
  • Experience using requirements management tools would be advantageous
  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
  • Working towards or holding professional registration with a recognised engineering institution is desirable
