Systems Engineer

In this role you will maintain and enhance Tower’s Linux-based trading infrastructure, ensuring high availability and low-latency performance in on-prem, hosted data centers and public clouds. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to automate provisioning and monitoring, optimize cloud deployments, and support 24/7 trading operations. • Maintain, support and enhance the firm's trading Linux infrastructure
• Provide day-to-day Linux environment support including incident response and performance troubleshooting
• Develop and refine automation tooling for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of thousands of Linux servers
• Manage core services (DHCP, LDAP, DNS, NFS) across on‑prem, hosted data centers and public clouds
• Review and design trading system deployments in the Cloud with Cloud Architecture team
• Improve performance, resilience, availability, and observability of Cloud environments
• Contribute to complex brownfield Cloud environments hosting 24/7 trading infrastructure optimized for low latency and real-time processing
• Participate in rotational on-call schedule including mornings and weekends

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance, operation, and administration of advanced Linux environments
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals and OS principles
• Competence in server-side networking and protocols
• Experience developing automation and monitoring tools
• Proficiency with configuration management and provisioning/orchestration tools (Ansible)
• Strong Python knowledge and expert Bash scripting for Linux automation
• Understanding of Linux config management, source control, CI/CD, and automated deployment
• Experience improving infrastructure automation for Cloud platforms in fast-paced trading environments
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort using AI in day-to-day activities
• Strong expertise in AWS compute, networking and storage services (EC2, ENA, VPC, ELB, Direct Connect, S3, EBS) in low-latency contexts
