Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer within Airbus Defence and Space, you will collaborate with the R&D team to develop and deploy SDR-based solutions, bridging clients and engineers across hardware, software, and signal processing. You will drive system architecture, RF integration, and real-time stacks to deliver mission-critical capabilities. • Liaise with domain experts and customers to define user requirements and manage system architecture/models for SDR-based platforms
• Integrate and validate RF front-ends, FPGAs, and real-time software stacks
• Conduct performance analysis and trade studies for modulation, coding, and protocol layers
• Support waveform development and integration across multiple SDR platforms
• Lead system-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization
• Stay current with SDR frameworks (GNU Radio, REDHAWK) and industry standards

• Strong understanding of RF or SATCOM systems, signal processing, and digital communications theory
• Hands-on experience with SDR platforms
• Proficient in scripting and programming (Python, C++, or embedded C)
