Overview

As a Systems Engineer at Leidos, you will lead sub-system design and integrate hardware, software and networks for UK government-defence programs. You will work with customers and suppliers to shape the full lifecycle systems engineering activities, with a focus on low-level design and interface definitions. You’ll apply rigorous feasibility studies and risk assessments to drive robust, compliant designs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, integrated solutions that meet mission needs and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sub-system design to meet requirements
  • Gather and refine system requirements with stakeholders
  • Define and design interfaces
  • Create detailed design documentation and interfaces
  • Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments
  • Coordinate integration of hardware, software, and networks
  • Support validation and verification of designs
  • Identify design improvements and drive best practices
  • Assist with project planning and estimation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and QA processes
Key requirements
  • Proven experience in system design in a relevant industry
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and lifecycle
