Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer in Thales ISR UK, you will contribute to next-generation EW, Radar, or UAS solutions for UK armed forces and export markets. You will work within a cross-functional team to ensure the solution meets operational needs and integrates complex technologies. The role combines requirements management, system design, and verification activities to deliver robust, traceable outcomes. You will operate in a security-cleared environment, collaborating with Systems Engineers, Architects, and Project Design Authorities to shape delivery. • Demonstrate alignment of the solution with customer operational needs
• Formalise and manage requirements using DOORS
• Assemble and evaluate solution elements to verify design and performance against requirements
• Specify development specifications and contribute to engineering plans
• Support IVVQ activities and perform trade-off analysis, modelling and simulation
• Create and maintain SE and IVVQ documentation
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering teams, Architects, or Project Design Authorities to formalise the solution

• Bachelor Degree in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in requirements management with DOORS or Polarion
• Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle from concept to test update
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and lifecycles
• Ability to integrate multiple technologies in a structured system
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders and disciplines
• Understanding of Systems Thinking and its application
• Good verbal and written communication, able to explain complex problems
