Systems Engineer (SCOF) Portsmouth (hybrid working 4 days per week onsite) – 6 month duration (potential to extend) – Pay rate £59.81 p/h PAYE basic (£68.50 p/h including holiday pay) or £80 p/h Umbrella An opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join a leading defence client working on Ground Control systems for Military Satellite Communications in Portsmouth, UK. The Systems Engineer will provide support to the Delivery of a Milsatcom Ground Control system. We see this as a great opportunity to be part of some diversified and forward-looking programmes within the Space Craft Control and Operations Facility. Responsibilities Requirements analysis, traceability and verification. Bill of Materials / Assembly Tree Management. Integration, Verification Validation and Test (IVV&T) support. Problem Definition, Non-Conformance and Observation recording and tracking. Systems Engineering inputs as required - to support planning, schedule and cost activities. Ground System level architectural design definition and trade-offs. Inform stakeholders on progress and problem resolution. Technical proposal inputs. Technical support to bidding teams. Robust presentation and writing skills. Requirements: Proven ability working on System of Systems or Large Scale Integration. Proven ability of engagement with customers and partners. Working understanding of satellite control. Robust presentation and writing skills.
Additional information: Due to the sensitive nature of the project involved, all applicants must be sole British nationals. You will need to hold a current SC level security clearance and be willing to undergo a DV level check.
