Systems Engineer

In this role you will contribute as a Systems Engineer to develop and mature training devices from requirements to acceptance within a cross-functional team. You will support procurement cycles, collaborate with the Solution Architect, and oversee subsystem integration to deliver capable training solutions. The position sits at the intersection of engineering, procurement, and program delivery in a defence context, offering exposure to cutting-edge training technologies. You’ll work in a matrix environment, shaping specifications, qualification, and operational support to enable the customer’s mission.

• Define work packages and technical requirements with the Solution Architect
• Contribute to execution and delivery of key work packages
• Specify and qualify products
• Collaborate on procurement and implementation of training devices
• Support subcontractor activities in design and build of training devices
• Create and maintain system configuration and process documentation
• Champion EH&S compliance and continuous improvement within projects
• Support additional duties to meet programme needs

• Relevant degree or equivalent training
• Strong experience in systems engineering across the V-model
• Experience with systems engineering standards and methods
• Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria
• Knowledge of Systems of Systems development
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools
• Security clearance (has or able to obtain)
• Travel up to 25% of time
• Valid driving licence
