Overview

As a Systems Engineer for Fortinet, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to UK Financial Services & Insurance clients, shaping security architectures and solutions across hybrid cloud, Zero Trust, and regulatory landscapes. You’ll partner with sales teams to design and demonstrate Fortinet’s security platform, guiding customers from discovery through deployment. Your work supports digital transformation while strengthening cyber resilience in large, security‑conscious organisations. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role that impacts how major FSI customers secure their data and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical engagements across the sales lifecycle (discovery, design, presentations, PoC)
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable Fortinet architectures
  • Deliver product demonstrations, architecture workshops, and executive whiteboarding
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to align security strategies with business and regulatory needs
  • Maintain deep expertise on Fortinet portfolio, cybersecurity trends, and FSI-relevant technologies
  • Support RFI/RFP responses and maintain technical documentation in Salesforce
  • Act as mentor to colleagues and partners
Key requirements
  • Experience in pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical role
  • Experience with Financial Services or Insurance customers or other regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of Network Security, SASE, SD‑WAN, Zero Trust, SOC, Cloud Security, Secure Access
  • Experience designing solutions for complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and senior business audiences
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Industry certifications such as NSE, CISSP, CCNP or equivalent advantageous
