Overview

As a Systems Engineer at Cirrus Logic, you will help define next-generation ICs for our Industrial business. You’ll lead concept investigations, define system requirements, and shape product roadmaps in collaboration with engineering, marketing, and customers. You’ll translate market needs into engineering decisions and engage with customers and industry events to ensure our solutions meet real-world demands. This role blends technical leadership with cross-functional influence to drive impactful product outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead concept investigations and feasibility studies with engineering and marketing to inform product development
  • Own product architecture and capture system requirements with key customers and internal teams
  • Evaluate architectural trade-offs and propose optimal solutions aligned with market needs
  • Collaborate with marketing and design to define product roadmaps
  • Be the voice of the customer, translating needs into engineering requirements and driving customer-centric decisions
  • Engage with customers to present concepts and build technical relationships
  • Represent Cirrus Logic at industry events to ensure standards compatibility
  • Support global customer engagements (travel ~4–6 weeks/year)
  • Drive technical direction and align stakeholders up to executive leadership
  • Provide guidance on product development strategy and contribute to design, verification, and go-to-market collateral
  • Participate in IC and board-level design reviews
Key requirements
  • Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven analytical and communication skills with ability to influence technical direction
  • Collaborative mindset and cross-functional problem-solving approach
  • Fast learner with ability to rapidly grasp new concepts and technologies
  • Experience working directly with customers and translating market needs into engineering solutions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort presenting technical content to audiences up to executive leadership
  • Hands-on experience with lab-based competitive analysis and teardown investigations
