In this role you will lead and manage the requirements and configuration processes for the HS2 Package 3 rail systems contracts. You will collaborate with design teams and SMEs to allocate requirements and define verification activities, ensuring robust change management and technical governance. Your work supports delivery through rigorous documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of RM and CM practices. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape critical infrastructure with impact across a major UK project.
Responsibilities- Elicit, analyse, and document requirements for HS2 Package 3 rail systems contract
- Lead change and configuration management across Package 3
- Develop Requirements Management and Configuration/Change Management processes
- Apply RM and CM plans to elicit, record, verify/validate requirements
- Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and SMEs to allocate requirements and determine verification activities
- Produce Verification Validation Matrices (VVMs) and Configuration Status Reports (CSRs)
- Report on RM, Verification & Validation performance and Configuration Management
- Maintain Change Management processes and registers
- Drive innovation in RM and CM approaches
- Prepare and deliver training to promote RM/CM awareness
- Foster collaboration and effective stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate with HS2 Subject Matter Experts as required
- Build credibility and relationships across project delivery teams and leadership
- Experienced in the use of DOORS to manage project requirements
- Experience applying configuration/change management in major projects
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Good information management and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
