Overview

As Channel Systems Engineer in Scotland, you will be the technical enablement specialist for Fortinet partners and Channel Account Managers, helping to qualify opportunities and drive successful deployments. You’ll deliver workshops, demos and POCs to boost partner readiness, while staying current on Fortinet’s portfolio and emerging security tech. You will collaborate across partners, distributors and internal teams to achieve technical outcomes and support channel programs. This role offers a hands-on, impact-driven chance to shape regional cybersecurity adoption.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary technical resource for Channel Account Managers and partners across Scotland
  • Deliver technical enablement, workshops and product updates to strengthen partner capability
  • Explain Fortinet solutions and integrations in partner meetings
  • Assist partners in qualifying opportunities and aligning with Fortinet architectures
  • Provide technical support during regional channel events, webinars, roadshows, and programs
  • Deliver product demonstrations, whiteboarding and light POC support
  • Maintain knowledge of Fortinet portfolio and emerging security technologies (SASE, SD-WAN, cloud security, SOC)
  • Collaborate with internal teams, distributors and partners to ensure technical outcomes
  • Support documentation and updates in Salesforce
  • Mentor partners and colleagues on Fortinet technologies
Key requirements
  • Experience in pre-sales engineering, technical consulting or partner-facing roles
  • Understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals (routing, switching, VPN, LAN/WAN, network security)
  • Familiarity with SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SOC tools and cloud security
  • Knowledge of DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP and common security protocols
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is desirable
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with partners, distributors and internal teams
  • Collaborative mindset and an inclusive, high-performing team contribution
  • Industry certifications (e.g., NSE, CISSP, CCNP) are a plus
