Overview

As a Systems Proving Engineer in our Integration and Systems Validation team, you will oversee planning, preparation and delivery of system-level trials to verify requirements. You will work with design and systems engineers to ensure effective integration, testing and validation across multidisciplinary projects. The role involves coordinating trials, analysing results, and supporting a range of lab, ground, harbour, sea and firing tests. You will engage with internal teams, suppliers and partners to drive trials readiness and risk- and data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate system trials with systems and design engineering teams
  • Develop trial plans, procedures and supporting technical documents
  • Capture relevant trial data to assess system performance and flag design issues
  • Support investigation and resolution of issues identified during proving activities
  • Prepare for and participate in Trials Readiness Reviews
  • Analyse trial results and produce post-trial reports and findings
  • Support proving activities across laboratory, ground, harbour/sea and firing trials
  • Manage engineering laboratories including risk assessments, asset management, safety and audit activities
  • Maintain hardware and software configuration control
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, partners and external stakeholders
  • Travel opportunities may arise to meet programme needs
Key requirements
  • Experience with planning and executing system-level trials or proving activities
  • Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Experience with managing trial data and reporting findings
  • Ability to support Risk Assessments and safety/audit activities in labs
  • Security clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship
  • Exposure to MBSE tools (advantageous) and scripting (Python) (advantageous)
  • Customer, supplier or partner interaction experience is beneficial
  • High communication skills with technical and management audiences
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • MBSE tools: DOORS, Rhapsody, RTC (advantageous)
  • Scripting or coding: Python (advantageous)
  • System integration and试 proving methodologies
