As a Systems Proving Engineer in the Bristol Integration and Systems Validation team, you will support proving, integration and validation of naval air defence systems across lab, sea, and firing trials. You’ll work with design and systems teams to plan and execute trials, manage data and reports, and help resolve design issues. The role offers cross-site trial activities in the UK and overseas, contributing to a defence-focused mission. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure rigorous evidence and system readiness, shaping critical naval capabilities.

- Plan, generate and execute trials in collaboration with systems engineering and design teams
- Produce trials documentation and deliver/readout of Trials Readiness Reviews
- Acquire and review trials data; investigate design issues and support resolution
- Perform post-trial data analysis and produce technical reports
- Support laboratory, ground, harbour, sea and firing trials across multiple platforms
- Assist with laboratory management, including risk assessments, asset management, audits and safety
- Maintain hardware and software configuration control
- Communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, partners and suppliers at engineering/management level
- Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, systems proving, or related engineering environment
- Understanding of design proving, trials planning, system assessment and acceptance
- Experience in naval integration, missile test, interface design, electronic design and test, network integration, or electrical/mechanical interfacing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret trials data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working with engineering teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of MBSE tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody or RTC would be beneficial
- Experience of coding, particularly Python, would be advantageous
