Overview
In this hybrid London-based role you will provide high-quality testing services within agile delivery teams. You will understand the product deeply to design effective tests and work closely with developers, product owners, and other testers. Your focus is delivering reliable quality through manual and automated testing across exploratory, regression, and integration scenarios. You’ll help the team ship robust software while engaging in sprint planning and reviews to ensure quality outcomes. This position offers involvement in a collaborative, security-conscious environment with opportunities to influence testing strategy.
Responsibilities- Develop deep product and system understanding to inform testing
- Design, write, and maintain automated and manual test cases
- Execute test plans including scripted, exploratory, regression, and integration tests
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects
- Actively participate in Agile processes to ensure quality integration
- Evaluate results, document defects, and report status to the team
- Minimum three years’ experience as a tester
- Ability to write efficient and effective manual tests
- Strong interest in IT and software development
- Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
- Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray)
- Comfort with command line tools
- Debug / troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- STEM degree or similar qualifications
- Desirable: networking experience; knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE practices
