In the past couple of years have also expanded into chocolate and peanut butter. Supplying both own label and private label products to major retailers across the UK & Europe. One of the fastest growing food manufacturing businesses in the local area, employing over 300 employees across five sites. The Role We are looking for cover within our Technical function to support; services, legal and compliance. This role is on a 12-month fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave Main purposes of the role; -

A

dditional support with artwork checks, raw material specs, and customer specs -

Assist with complaints, queries and other related customer issues -

Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and management of the supplier approval system Specific Duties -

Update product specifications and coordinate compliance data -

Generating and maintaining internal specifications, customer specifications and assisting in the maintenance of the supplier raw materials database -

Ensure a right first time approach to the specification writing process -

Contributing to continuous improvement of specification systems and processes -

Cover launch meetings as required and providing feedback to the Technical Team -

To ensure raw material compliance is regularly reviewed, and approval status is maintained and to ensure information required during 3rd party audits is available and accurate -

Responding to alerts that affect raw materials and technical requirements -

Monitoring updates in customer policies and legislation, assessing their impact on products and processes -

To work alongside the technical team and provide support for customer requests and queries -

Utilising customer portals, trade associations and external resources to ensure company compliance and emerging new risks or codes of practice are captured in a timely manner -

Completing SAQs and customer required paperwork -

Assisting in product data, regulatory documents, and quality assurance records Key Skills -

At least 3 years experience in a food industry role -

Experience of interpreting and implementing retailer codes of practice -

Experience in the use and management of customer technical portals and customer specifications and artwork approval processes -

Experience of Supplier Approval Systems -

Good time management and self-motivation with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure -

Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills -

Excellent communication skills to communicate to all levels -

IT literate Qualifications -

Level 2/3 in Food Safety -

Level 2/3 in HACCP -

Internal Auditor Trained -

Food science, technology or nutritional related qualification

Desirable not essential
