Overview

In this role you will own the validation and verification of C2 software, defining test scenarios, criteria, and evidence to ensure functional and performance requirements are met. You will lead a small team within a product-focused environment, assuring quality across the full development lifecycle amid a growth-driven programme. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams to report progress and drive improvements. This position offers hands-on impact in shaping critical software capabilities for high-profile defence systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team focused on verification activities and evidence generation
  • Maintain compliance matrices and verification evidence in DOORS
  • Analyze test results to confirm software performance against requirements
  • Define test scenarios, acceptance criteria and test descriptions
  • Support issue investigation and resolution identified during testing
  • Produce technical, safety and security-related evidence and reports
  • Generate and present progress metrics to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders across engineering and delivery functions
  • Monitor project schedules and report milestones
  • Manage requirements changes and controlled implementation
  • Support continuous improvement and best practice development
Key requirements
  • Strong understanding of Validation & Verification methodologies
  • Experience turning requirements into test-ready software releases
  • Ability to lead and coordinate small technical teams
  • Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments
  • Analytical skills to interpret requirements, test evidence, and technical documents
  • Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody or similar requirements/configuration management tools
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a STEM field
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance; British citizenship required as a minimum
