Overview

In this role you will lead the design, build and oversight of major Tableau dashboards within the Commercial Analytics team to support strategic objectives. You will transform business needs into robust, visual analytics for ExCo and management, leveraging data from warehouse and relational sources. You’ll drive data‑driven opportunities, market and peer analysis, and enhance decision making through advanced Tableau capabilities. This position offers exposure to financial services analytics, with a hybrid office pattern in Central London and a focus on automation and impactful reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and deploy Tableau dashboards to support strategic aims
  • Provide analytical support to ExCo and management teams via interactive dashboards
  • Perform market and peer group analyses to identify business opportunities
  • Understand data modelling and ETL concepts (data warehouse, star/snowflake schemas) and apply them to dashboards
  • Utilise SQL/MDX and MS-SQL queries to extract and shape data
  • Scope data and translate ambiguities into visualization solutions
  • Leverage Tableau features (parameters, actions, tooltip, API) to deliver advanced dashboards
  • Support evaluation of investment and business opportunities connected to financial performance
Key requirements
  • 5 years Tableau experience (expert)
  • 3+ years developing executive/operational dashboards (Tableau, COGNOS, Business Objects) or 2+ years in a CRM delivery role
  • Ability to convert detailed requirements into actionable documents
  • Strong database technology background
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt plans
  • Strong understanding of Cube Design, SQL/MDX
  • Hands-on MS-SQL querying experience
  • Data scoping and relational database experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
