This is the same firm described above. For this role, the pitch is that the firm develops its people. Seniors get mentorship, a varied client base instead of one narrow niche, and a clear path into higher-level tax roles.

The Role

A hands-on preparer and reviewer of business, partnership and personal tax returns. The clients are business owners and wealthy individuals, mostly in professional services and real estate. The work is mostly tax filing with some tax planning and occasional audit support. This person works with everyone from staff up to partners.

Additional Information:

• Tax work (compliance and planning) -
• Clients - Small & medium sized businesses - Professional services (lawyers, doctors), real estate
• Client work is largely corporate work; but do some level of personal tax for owners of the business; personal for high net worth...
• Software: Majority UltraTax - creative solutions; some used ProSystems
• Generally staffed fairly well throughout the year;

Must-Haves

• 2–3 years of recent public accounting experience
• Has prepared 1120, 1065 and 1040 returns
• Comfortable xhqgsiq with a mix of business and personal returns
• Hands-on tax software experience (UltraTax ideal; ProSystems is also used)
• Strong Excel skills
• Able to commute to Melville

• CPA license, or actively working toward it
• High-net-worth individual returns
• Real estate or professional services clients
• AI tax research tools (CoCounsel)
