Tax Manager

Our client is a TSX listed multinational in the energy sector. They are seeking a new Tax Manager to join their large internal tax team, taking the lead on Canadian corporate tax compliance, reporting and provisioning requirements. In addition, this role will provide tax advisory support on an ongoing basis subject to business changes. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced tax specialists either directly from public practice or from a similar in-house role.

Responsibilities

• Managing the accurate and timely preparation of federal and provincial tax filings.
• Accurate and timely review and analysis of income tax provisions.
• Business support on technical tax issues, including researching and analyzing legislative changes.
• Provide tax support to the business on ongoing M&A, disposals, operational restructuring etc.
• Oversee income tax audits, including review and coordination of data collection, analysis and communication.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Prior EIFEL and Pillar 2 experience is highly advantageous
• Completion or partial completion of In-Depth Tax program is preferred.
• 5+ years of professional tax experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
