McCarthy Tétrault is looking for lawyers to join its Tax (Private Client Tax Planning) group in Montréal, Toronto, Calgary and/or Vancouver. McCarthy Tétrault's Tax group is recognized as a Band 1 practice by Chambers Global 2027 and is experiencing significant growth.The Firm has just added some of the leading Private Client Tax Planning partners in Canada and is looking to further expand the Tax group’s team of talented associates.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to practice law in the province of Québec, Ontario, Alberta or British Columbia and have the following credentials:

• 4-6 years of post-call experience practicing in Tax, ideally private client tax planning;
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and family offices on sophisticated Canadian, cross-border and international tax planning;
• Experience with private wealth and estate planning, non-resident trusts, immigration and emigration, charities, reorganizations and transactions involving privately held businesses;
• Excellent academic and professional credentials;
• Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills; and
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service excellence.
