Overview

In this role, you will bridge clients, stakeholders, and engineering to enhance our TCA and Best Execution platform. You’ll shape requirements, documentation, and training across the full product lifecycle to deliver high-quality analytics and surveillance capabilities. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate regulatory needs into actionable specifications and scalable solutions. This is an opportunity to influence market surveillance and TCA offerings within a premier financial technology platform.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and refine requirements from Compliance users, Steering Board, Technology teams, and regulators
  • Translate business and regulatory needs into detailed specs and model requirements
  • Triages requests with stakeholders and prioritises based on urgency, impact, and cost
  • Define high-quality requirements, model specs, and user acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with Development and Data teams to design and optimise surveillance models
  • Evaluate model feasibility, data dependencies, and parameterisation approaches
  • Produce comprehensive solution design and methodology documentation
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication across UAT and Production
  • Support releases, adoption of new functionality, and model calibration
  • Develop and deliver training for internal teams and clients
  • Create and maintain high-quality product and model documentation
  • Provide guidance to maximise platform capabilities
Key requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in Compliance, surveillance product delivery, market surveillance, or financial markets
  • Degree-level education in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Adaptable and inquisitive mindset to understand complex models and market behaviours
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of market abuse surveillance methodologies (e.g., Insider Dealing, Spoofing, Front Running) and regulatory frameworks (MAR, UK MAR, MiFID)
  • Experience with market abuse surveillance tools and platforms
  • Understanding of model calibration, back-testing, risk analysis, and gap analysis
  • Good knowledge of market structures, trading venues, and asset classes
  • Experience with data ingestion processes, workflows, APIs, and user interfaces
