Team Lead Platform Engineering

In this leadership role, you shape the cloud platform and operating practices to support a fast-growing fintech. You lead a cross-functional team, mentor engineers, and drive reliable, scalable infrastructure with a focus on security and automation. • Mentor engineers and improve team performance through coaching and feedback
• Remove bottlenecks and drive accountable, efficient delivery
• Lead AI initiatives across day-to-day operations and large-scale projects
• Promote open communication across remote and hybrid teams
• Define and enforce platform engineering best practices for scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering Managers, and QA to translate ideas into outcomes
• Embed DevSecOps principles—security, monitoring, and automation from the start
• Identify and mitigate risks before they block delivery

• Experience leading Cloud / Platform engineering teams
• Strong cross-functional leadership with engineering, QA, and stakeholders
• Excellent communication bridging technical and non-technical audiences
• Deep knowledge of modern cloud/platform engineering practices and scalable architectures
• Proven track record in reliability, performance, and continuous improvement
• Experience in Azure and cloud technologies
• Experience scaling platforms for containerised environments
