Team Lead - Platform Engineering (London)

As Platform Engineering Team Lead at Fresha, you guide the platform and infrastructure to scale globally with reliability and AI-driven efficiency. You’ll align technology with business goals, own multi-region architecture, and lead cross-functional initiatives with Product, Engineering, and Security. This role shapes how AI and automation reduce toil while improving service quality for millions of partners and customers. You’ll influence core platform decisions and foster a culture of learning and accountability.

• Drive platform readiness and multi-region infrastructure strategy aligned with business outcomes
• Lead observability improvements and AI-assisted incident detection and automation
• Own reliability and performance, delivering high-quality platform initiatives
• Steer cross-functional programs with Product, Engineering, and Security stakeholders
• Develop engineers through coaching, delegation, and feedback; manage onboarding and team health

• Proven engineering leadership experience delivering high-impact outcomes across platform, infrastructure, or reliability domains
• Hands-on experience applying automation and AI/LLM-based tools to observability and incident response
• Strong background in cloud architectures, distributed systems, and DevOps/SRE principles
• Experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront) or equivalent (GCP/Azure)
• Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, or Bash; use of Terraform for IaC
• Practical experience building observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, ELK, Sentry, OpsGenie)
• Familiarity with Linux networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing)
• Creative problem-solving in fast-paced environments with high ownership
• Experience with Claude code
