In this hands-on Lead Frontend role, you will guide a small, fast-growing frontend team while shaping the web platform that powers a tech-driven investment firm. You’ll design architecture, drive development strategy, and collaborate with the Java API to deliver high-quality, scalable applications. The role blends maintenance with greenfield work in a dynamic, open culture that values thoughtful decision-making and technical excellence. This is a chance to influence critical user-facing products at pace in a flat organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Development strategy and architecture
  • Design and develop new applications with the existing team
  • Help implement a REST API
  • Ensure test coverage and quality
  • Stabilise and integrate web platform with Java backend and AWS stack
Key requirements
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Experience designing and building complex sites
  • Ideally Ruby, but not required
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Team lead experience or mentoring ability
  • jQuery
  • Git version control
  • Linux knowledge
  • Mobile applications experience beneficial
  • Hadoop experience (not required)
  • Mentoring and leadership
