Overview

In this role you lead the Securities Data Operations function to ensure high-quality data for pricing and reference data across multiple hubs. You will develop the team toward a Target Operating Model and act as SME, partnering with stakeholders to drive data management and innovation. You’ll balance BAU risk control with efficiency improvements while enabling trading and business initiatives. The role combines hands-on data expertise with people leadership in a global setup to support investment teams and enterprise data goals.

Responsibilities
  • Line manage a distributed team (London, Geneva, Singapore)
  • Oversee daily setup and maintenance of investment securities data, including pricing and reference data
  • Monitor deliverables related to innovation, technology, and business initiatives
  • Develop the Data Operations function towards a Target Operating Model and act as SME
  • Own BAU data operations with focus on risk control and efficiency
  • Set up securities accurately to enable trading and manage exceptions
  • Resolve issues promptly and escalate where needed
  • Improve procedures/processes and recommend changes
  • Collaborate with Head of Data Operations on change management and EDM enhancements within an agile framework
  • Provide data expertise to investment teams and strengthen stakeholder links (including Singapore data team)
  • Develop team members and support their growth
Key requirements
  • Degree-level education; CFA preferred
  • 5–7 years’ experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial vendors
  • Previous people-management experience preferred (coaching, performance, appraisals)
  • Strong knowledge of static data across all security types
  • Strong understanding of pricing and portfolio valuation (ETD, OTC, Alternative Assets)
  • Good knowledge of investment operations systems and data providers (e.g., Simcorp, NeoXam, Bloomberg, Rimes, LSEG)
  • Systems knowledge relevant to navigating data/system processes
