In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network and telecoms across NHS sites, ensuring reliable, secure services for patients and staff. You will manage a team, drive secure, scalable IT communications, and deliver strategic network initiatives and disaster recovery planning. You’ll partner with stakeholders to align technology with organisational goals and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced health environment.

- Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of network and telecommunications systems across NHS sites
- Oversee LAN, WAN, wireless, and telecom platforms to ensure reliability and performance
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures; manage network security initiatives
- Drive strategic initiatives for security, scalability, and service improvements
- Deputise for Senior Manager, Networks and IT Communications
- Engage with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners to align strategies with organisational goals
- Support disaster recovery planning and adoption of new technologies
- Proven experience leading and developing technical teams; workload management and staff development
- Significant experience managing enterprise network and/or telecommunications services
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects in a complex IT environment
- Experience supporting multi-vendor technical environments
- Knowledge of IT service management principles and best practice
- Knowledge of information governance, cyber security, GDPR
- Experience analyzing complex issues and delivering recommendations; producing reports/business cases
- Budget management and resource planning experience
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong written and oral communication abilities; ability to explain complex information to diverse audiences
- Strategic thinking and ability to manage competing demands
- Network architecture and administration
- Cyber security and data protection (GDPR)
- IT service management (ITIL) principles
