In this Tech Lead role, you will guide cloud-based software initiatives within Version 1’s Digital Data & Cloud Practice, delivering scalable, secure solutions. You’ll lead technical delivery on large-scale transformation and migration projects across public and private sectors, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll shape architecture, own product design and quality, and mentor the team to drive excellence. This position offers impact through cloud-native design and active contribution to a growth-focused, values-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications
  • Provide technical leadership to deliver scalable, secure solutions in line with industry practices (code quality, CI/CD, security)
  • Operate within an agile project management delivery methodology
  • Own product/solution design, estimation, shaping, and user story creation
  • Document architectures, configurations, releases, and handover
  • Collaborate with Version 1 and customer stakeholders across the software development lifecycle
  • Convey technical designs clearly to stakeholders with varying technical abilities
  • Transfer knowledge to team members and customers
  • Coach and develop junior team members and foster a collaborative environment
Key requirements
  • Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven)
  • Hands-on development experience: Angular (Frontend) and .NET/C# (Backend)
  • Experience with non-functional requirements and TDD (unit/integration tests)
  • Experience developing REST-based APIs
  • Strong DevOps/CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift for containerisation
  • Azure cloud experience (Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, VMs) and cloud-native architectures
  • Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or AZ-305 preferred
